One Week in the Books!

It’s time for some “Thankins from Hankins”.

I’m a week in to this blog/project thing!

I’ve written blog posts about Oreos, fear, bonsai, etc., every day for a week!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for reading them.

You didn’t have to, and you made the choice to check them out. I sincerely hope this project has brought some kind of value to your life.

I’ve enjoyed every step in this process. The actual writing is fun. I love interacting online and having “real life” conversations about the topics.

There are definitely fears before you put something out into the world.

What if people don’t like it?

What if I’m a terrible writer?

What if I don’t have anything helpful to contribute?

What if my mom is embarrassing in the comments section? (Luckily, I found I can sensor the comments, so, the world will never know!)

All those things may be true, but are still only distractions from actually doing the work.

So what if people don’t like it, I’m a terrible writer, and my mom is making embarrassing comments?

If this project has helped one person, it has been worth it.

A part of this project is the deep realization that we’re all in this together.

If I can add value and contribute, I’ll do my best.

This journey is just beginning and I’m so excited about what is to come!

My questions for today:

What is something you can do to make the world better?

What is holding you back?

Go for it!

Ps. BLBW is starting a podcast…the intro is up on Soundcloud now!

It will be on iTunes tomorrow…check it out!
