Embracing the Unknown

Mary was surprised by an angel.

Mary was confused by his greeting.

Mary was willing to be of service.

Mary told her best friend.

Mary was distrusted by her husband.

Mary was taken back by her husband.

Mary went through morning sickness.

Mary dealt with the looks and the whispers.

Mary traveled across the country, while pregnant, on a camel.

Mary gave birth in a barn.

In what could only be described as a whirlwind, Mary acted faithfully.

Details were not explained.

Steps were not described.

But she embraced the unknown and moved forward.

Step by step.

Decision by decision.

Day by day.

38 And Mary said, “Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. – Luke 1:38 NASB
